On Saturday the 5th December KZN Literary Tourism had a morning tea party in the beautiful grounds of Inanda Seminary to launch the INK (Inanda, Ntuzuma and KwaMashu) Writers Trail, which we developed with the eThekwini Municipality in 2009.
The Creative INK Collective (a poetry and writers collective) performed some of their work and the school museum was open. The Seminary is one of the stops on the INK Writers Trail.
Literary Tourism is tourism that deals with places and events from fictional texts as well as the lives of their authors. This could include following the route a fictional character charts in a novel, visiting particular settings from a story or tracking down the haunts of a novelist.
