People of Cape Town, we’re looking for suggestions of sites associated with writers and novels. Where did your famous authors or poets live? What landscapes inspired them? What gritty neighbourhoods became the settings for their books?
We’re starting the process of researching a Cape Town writers trail and any and all input would be appreciated.
Literary Tourism is tourism that deals with places and events from fictional texts as well as the lives of their authors. This could include following the route a fictional character charts in a novel, visiting particular settings from a story or tracking down the haunts of a novelist.
